We are having a blast in Thailand!! So far we have been getting to know everyone and finding our way in the hectic city of Chiang Mai, trying not to get hit by the countless motorcycles! We have been looking at some of the temples here and learning about how to be respectful of Thai tradition and culture. Today we are doing a scavenger hunt around Chiang Mai, so far the best part is that we went to a temple and talked to some monks about how and why they decided to become a monk, we learned about their everyday life and what its like to be them! We have been also going to markets at night where we experience what the Thai people eat and create, last night we went to a big Saturday night market where all of the people from local villages came to sold their handmade crafts which was pretty awesome! Now we are finishing up orientation and gearing up for our home stays!
