Kampala!

Crazy, wild, hectic, busy, AHHHH!

We have just landed in Kampala after an eight hour bus ride. As the bus was rolling into the city we all knew this huge town was going to be a wild adventure. Outside of town is where we have been resting at the one and only backpackers hostel. At the hostel we have been munching on grilled cheese sandwiches and more importantly, enjoying the luxurious HOT showers.

Yesterday we split into a few groups to conquer the city of Kampala. The whole day was spent wondering around the city aimlessly but all in good spirits. After only two days of exploration we have mastered the art of crossing the street, dodging motorcycles, and pulling away from touchy street vendors.

Later on today we are visiting a non-profit organization, Beads for Life. The organization provides the women of Kampala, and all around Uganda, a steady job and income. Hopefully we will find lots of Jewelery to bring home.

Tomorrow we are going rafting down the Nile. Yes, you heard it correctly. Carpe Diem Africa is rafting the longest river in the world. The excitement is killing us all! We just have to remember to put on our anti-croc spray!

Keep Wishing us luck on our adventures!
