The Thai Experience

DSCN0513[1]

Hello to everyone back home, this is Blake from the SE Asia group. At this point we’ve been in Thailand for almost 2 weeks now.The first week we were traveling through Chiang Mai, adventuring through the city. While we were there we saw some amazing wats (temples where the monks study) went to incredible night markets and even munched on some fried crickets and worms! Yum!

During weekdays we have three hours of Thai class split up throughout the day. 2 hours in the morning and 1 hour after lunch. The days are humid and I feel like I live with a constant layer of sweat that I’ve become accustomed to. I personally still love thai food everyday for every meal, but many of us are getting tired of the same kind of food and craving american food again. Good thing the Thai love 7 Elevens. There are many everywhere we go.

I am so glad I’m here on this trip and feel so fortunate to have the amazing opportunity to travel the world with such an awesome group of people.

I want to say thank you to my mom Kristy and my dad Alan for supporting me and helping to make this educational experience possible.
