Sustainability and Responsible Living in Argentina

Hey guys!  Aden here checking in from Obera, Argentina, where I have been interning at Mama Roja for the past month.

At Mama Roja I, along with six other interns, have been learning about various methodologies to promote a more sustainable lifestyle.  So far, there have been workshops on earthen building, seed saving, permaculture design, food and drink fermentations, and more.  The other interns range from ages 20 to 28, and are all people who are in some way disgruntled, concerned, and fed up with the realities facing the Western way of life.
Mama Roja is also a place of relaxation and leisure.  During free time (the three hour siesta when it is too hot to work) we split up to focus on various activities, be they painting, reading, writing, or sleeping in hammocks.
So far I have enjoyed my stay at Mama Roja, and have been given opportunities to grow in many ways.  I look forward to see what the next couple of months bring.
I am also keeping a blog of the trip at adentravels.tumblr.com
