Que les vaya bien

The climactic Machu Picchu has been hike, Spanish has been improved, friendships have been made and now it is time to go home. Today has been a mad dash for the few of us who are headind north to buy gifts, where as the others have been running around making plans for their travels after.

Everyone is excited to go home and retell stories and show pictures, but I think for many of us there it is also fearfully overwhelming. We have created this strong and unique group dynamic, and now we’ll be going home to loved ones who know very little about our new friendships. We have seen each other everyday…but now who knows if our paths will ever cross again. We have seen dozens of sites and cities that have all shown or taught us something new, how are we supposed to answer what are favorite place was? Everyone is going to be asking us how are trip was, but “it was great” does not sum up the experiences we have had. To all of our loved ones who have been faithfully reading the blog, thank you for caring and your curiosity Please have patience with us when we struggle to explain just how special our time in South America was.
