Otavalo!

Saturday morning shopping started early! Banana pancakes and french toast to begin the day well. By 8 the market was booming. Rows of vendors stretch as far as you can see down the busy streets. It ranged from pure silver jewelry to alpaca sweaters and striped pants. The art was beautiful and everything was colorful. As the day went on it got warmer and busier. The whole SAM group bought sweaters- pictures to come! Most of us had to go back to the hotel mid-day to drop off our overflowing bags and continue shopping. What a different way of buying- bargaining was a new experience for me… while others excelled. It was such a change from the calm life in Pucara we have been living. Our next destination is a Tandana which is worrisome for some. Every experience so far has proved to be eye opening and awesome in its own way, and I´m confident that will continue! Wish us luck!
