Here’s Alana and Rebecca in front of the Pacific Ocean in Auckland, NZ! It’s our second day in New Zealand and it’s waaaayyyy chillier than we expected! We’re on a scavenger hunt, thoroughly bundled, discovering Auckland.

Today was the first day that we were able to explore the city of Auckland by ourselves. It was an awesome experience and there are some really cool buildings to see. We had some sandwiches at a small little shop on Queens St. We both feel pretty confident about finding our way around the city without using a map because we made a couple of huge circles around the city. We also got a feel of what the people of auckland were like as we asked a couple for directions, favorite things to do, and even borrow their phones to use our OH-SHIT cards. They are all very nice!

Morgan and Will

Ben and I are dominating this hunt around Auckland. We have almost completed everything on the list and this is one of the final things left. We have explored this city and have had a great time together doing it. For a city, Auckland is pretty quiet and not as fast paced as what we are normally used to. Our favorite place so far is the beautiful park in the center of the city. We lied down next to these huge trees on the grass and just took a moment to breathe and soak it all in (2 photos of this below). Also there is a photo of Ben and I when we asked some firefighters to take a picture with us. They were very friendly and nice. We are having a blast and look forward to our adventures ahead. See you all soon!
