Orientation Day 2

We arrived in Quito two nights ago. We were greeted by an accommodating hostel and a delicious meal. After passing out in our beds, we woke up the next day and set out for our first full day in Quito. In a nearby park, we did several Orientation activities, going over rules and safety as well as just getting to know eachother. Today, we embarked on a scavenger hunt in groups of three. Our group is Mike, Jack, and Molly. So far we have been looking for local delicacies and beautiful views to take photos at. We walked around the Basillica Voto Nacional – a gorgeously designed church. We got some ice cream at a local shop and ate some strange mango-like fruit. Later tonight we will be going on a Food tour. We are all enjoying Quito and appreciate the opportunity to learn how to navigate big cities. However, I think we are all looking forward to heading out into the country on Monday when we travel to the Banana plantation.
Now we are off to finish our scavenger hunt.
Adios, Mike, Molly, and Jack.
