We have been exploring Quito all day, and we like what we´ve been seeing so far! We trekked up the Basilica del Voto Nacional, which has over 200 steps to the top. From the top, we could see all of Quito and even el Panecillo! We had the chance to try an empanada at one of the cafes and the jury is still out. The weather is absolutely beautiful, and the city is colorful and full of life… not to mention full of hills! We can´t wait to see what the rest of this city and South America has to offer.
