Hello to everyone back home,
We’re wrapping up our time here and starting to prepare for the long trip back home. I feel so blessed to have had such a wonderful experience with an amazing group of people. None of this could have happened without the support of so many people back in the states.
My friends and family have been such an inspiration for me to join Carpe, and all of them have been so supportive in my decision to take a gap year before going to college. When I first arrived here I thought that it wasn’t abnormal for students out of high school to be apart of a gap year program, but from talking with other students on the trip I’ve realized that it’s such a rare and unique opportunity that I am so proud to be a part of.
Thank you to our amazing leaders Greg and Brooke for opening our minds to a different culture, and turning us into travelers from tourists. They’ve both been such a positive influence for me from the start of the journey all the way to the last few days. Their guidance has helped me to understand more about myself and the world around me.
Last but definitely not least Headquarters. You guys at headquarters have the hardest job of all, because you take care of us without actually being with us. It’s incredible how much help you provide us, and provide for all of the trips at once. The faith you’ve put in all of the students and staff on on this trip is uncomprehendable. I can never thank you enough for your generosity and kindness you have bestowed upon us. This trip has been such a life changing experience, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
Thank you to everyone,
Blake Andrew Henning
