“I believe everyone should have a broad picture of how the universe operates and our place in it. It is a basic human desire. And it also puts our worries in perspective.” -Stephen Hawking
For many years we have proudly hosted student blogs on our website, giving our students a platform to process and share their share their travel experiences with their friends and family back home. Since our first humble blog post back in 2007, our students and staff have come a long way and posted over 2,000 unique reflections from every corner of the globe. As we continue to share our student’s perspective from the field, we are excited to expand our Blog to add a new voice into the conversation… that of our leadership team based in our Portland, OR headquarters.
Through this HQ blog, we hope to share our collective insights, passions and perspectives around the valuable work that we do. We hope to illuminate the experiences and voices of our broader community as well, from our alumni to the communities that we work with around the world. We'll also use this as a platform to dive deeper into some of the core issues that challenge all study abroad and gap year organizations.
Each week, we will explore a new topic relevant to the Carpe Diem experience. We deeply appreciate your continued support, and encourage you to follow us on this new and exciting journey. Stay tuned for our first Blog topic next week!
