My time in Fiji has been something out of a story book. I went into the village stay expecting to be sick the entire time. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received and how comfortable I felt living the village life. Oh and not getting as sick as I thought was also nice. From the playful children to the strong women of the families, I learned the ways of Fiji and how to appreciate everything that you’ve been given in life. Always have fun, never work too hard, include everyone and love rather than hate. Saying goodbye to my village and my family was hard to do, but my experience there is only making me want to return as quickly as possible. Vinaka Fiji. You will be missed but never forgotten. –Bridget
My time in Fiji has been life changing. My experience in the village and the week at Vatia was truly epic. Fiji isn’t just the white sandy beaches and beautiful resorts everyone thinks it is. It is a place with many amazing people, breathtaking mountains, secluded islands, and all different shades of blue water you could imagine. Even though my time was short here, the memories will last a lifetime. -David
Fiji was not anything I could have expected. It was neither a cluster of beach floral-themed resorts, nor filled with broken down shacks on the side of the highways. Fiji was a stunning combination of jumping off bridges to the ocean, beautiful village bonfires, adventurous public bus rides and adorable clingy children. Leaving is hard because I feel so welcomed, happy and, to be honest, well-adjusted to Fiji Time. My time was amazing and has far exceeded my expectations. -Margo
