Seize The Day?

Hey all you beautiful people reading this,

It’s emily, coming to you from Raki Raki Fiji. Not so sure as to where we left off our even started, but this week has been something!

We arrived to our village (Vatusekiyasawa) on Monday and all moved in with our homestay families. The village is smaller and has about 317 people in the whole thing. We spend a lot of our days working, we have been building sidewalks for the village so that people can easily get to church during the rainy season.

We eat four times a day, but knowing the Fijian Culture and their relationship with food it is probalby more for most of the group.

We went to a rugby game today, and have been taking public transportation to get around everywhere. I wish I could sit here and show you a video of the experiences we have been having and the realtionships with the Fijians we have been making, but it is impossible. You are going to have to trust that each of us are really finding our role in the group, and trying new things and loving each step of this journey.

We hiked a huge mountain yesterday and got some amazing shots. Today is Brooke’s birthday!

Peace, Love, and Carpe Diem.
