Bula! After diving into the crystal clear waters of Fiji, we are excited to embark on our next chapter in the village. The last three days were spent doing cultural exploration in Nadi and New Town. Here’s all the fun things we’ve done this past week: going to local mud and hot pools, watching a traditional Fijian fire dance, participating in that dance, and night swims in the ocean. We’re all feeling refreshed and ready for the next two weeks in our village stay. We’ll try to post again halfway through our time in the village, if we’re not able to, expect a huge post at the end of our stay! Seganalega, marau!
P.S.- Margo was not left in Raglan, New Zealand. Here’s her blog post:
Bula from Fiji!
I did fall asleep before my post and the fresh fruits and stunning sunsets here have since carried my attention elsewhere. However, I would like to share how beautiful my time in New Zealand was. The waterfalls, barefoot towns, green stones, gardens and mountains have made an impression on me. I’ve had time to reflect the few days I’ve been in Fiji, and I can honestly say I miss New Zealand. The time our group spends reminiscing on our memories only reinforces the fact New Zealand holds a place in our hearts.
