What’s up my friends!?!
Ever wanted to know how to say that in Kiswahili? Well, now you know! Let’s go make use of it in Mashariki! (East Africa)
In our minds the adventure has already begun (have you gotten your immunizations yet?); so we thought it was time to introduce ourselves and welcome you to the Carpe family.
If you haven’t put the pieces together yet, Dan and I are married and live in Northern Minnesota. When we’re not abroad with Carpe Diem we both work for Outward Bound instructing canoeing courses in the summer and dogsledding courses in the winter. Is it too early to plan a dogsledding post-Africa reunion trip? We’re happy to host!
We can’t wait to meet you all SO SOON. In the meantime, expect to get a phone call from one of us in the next week or so. We’ll be available via email, blog, and phone to answer your final questions before the trip.
Keep soaking up the anticipation. The preparation stage is meant to be a part of the fun. Soon enough we’ll actually be living it!
Mpaka siku hiyo (until that day),
Last Christmas in the Himalayas after leading the Carpe Semester in India.
