The Latitudes Team is so thrilled to announce that our Fall Orientation has kicked off!
We are gathered in a beautiful forested retreat center just outside of Portland. With just one flight delay all day long, everyone has safely arrived at the orientation center. We’ve explored the camp, dipped our toes in the river, played some get-to-know-you games, and had a fantastic introduction from Carpe Diem’s Executive Director Drew Edwards. As we write, the only student with a flight delay is walking in the door and sitting down to the burrito we saved him for dinner while the rest of us get ready for a final evening meditation followed by what we’re sure will be sound sleep.
As the pictures below show, we’ve already gotten a little serious…and also a little goofy! Over the coming days we’ll post a few more pictures and updates, so stay tuned. In the meantime, we’d like to offer all of our appreciation to you – the families and friends who have supported all of the students in getting here: the first step of this momentous journey.
