Kia Ora from the HONGI group from Wellington, New Zealand! We hope everything is going well back in the States. Although New Zealand is on its last stretch of winter, the cold and rain did not keep us from exploring this beautiful city. Over the past few days, our orientation activities have ranged from wandering through Te Papa to dressing up in ridiculous outfits while trying to keep a straight face during a group meeting. On our last day of orientation, we all raced around the city competing to win the Wellington Scavenger Hunt, which included taking pictures with local street performers, eating at an authentic New Zealand Restaurant, and finding specific landmarks that dot the harbor. We found that these items make Wellington the unique city that it is. We ended our three days with a ceremony that closed orientation and opened the beginning of our adventurous three months in the South Pacific. Next stop, The Hart Family Farm!
