Heeeeyy, it’s Amy checking in. As I’m sure all of you know, we have made our way from Fiji to New Zealand and can I just say how obsessed I am with this country. We started our trip in the wondrous city of Auckland. It’s beautiful and wonderful and I’m moving here once the trip is over. Sorry mom. Gracie and I spent most of the time shopping, it was glorious, I forgot how much I love clothes. The people were super friendly and chill and I’m in love. The best description the group came up for it was a cross between San Francisco and Portland. (PS: Padre, I know that sounds horrendous to you but trust a girl when I say it’s not in the least bit obnoxious.) We also went to the aquarium where we got to see some penguins! Although, all I could think about was Happy Feet and how he hated being enclosed and just wanted to be a free penguin and reunite with his family. But it was still pretty cool. On another note, as Gracie stated in her blog, we went “tramping” which was quite the experience. Just want to make it clear to my parents that I hiked up 1,000 ft, 7 miles, without a trail through half of it-A job well done! Anyway, we’ll be heading to Anne’s farm soon and after that we get another day in Auckland! Woo! Hopefully I’ll find my future Kiwi husband while I’m there. (wink wink, Madre)
