This week we spent some time with Ohana Amani at their farm and learned a lot about sustainablility in Africa, but most importantly we had our homestays! For the last four days we were set up with families in the small village of Kanani in the southern highlands of Tanzania. We had the opportunity to really connect with our families and see how the average Tanzanian lives. It was also full immersion for us to practice our newly aquired Swahili skills. We all had hugely varied experiences from helping out on the farm to teaching the children at the little Kanani Village Primary School (which has just been ranked as number 1 in the region!) We have many stories to share but for now a picture speaks a thousand words…
