Our month in NZ has finally come to an end. We had more incredible moments than this blog could handle, but here are some of our favorites;
1. The breathtaking views of NZ as we made our final decent into Wellington after a long day of travel.
2. Arriving at our hostel in Plimmerton on a nice quiet beach after a long 20 hour day of flying and chaotically running through airports.
3. Meeting a friendly face on the bus to National Park named Joel, and getting some good local information that was helpful throughout the trip.
4. Meeting the incredible staff at BMAC and finding our first friend outside the group, Reggie.
5. A long action packed week at BMAC full of breathtaking adventures and memories we will never forget.
6. A truck ride on a farm pickup throughout Anne’s farm, with rolling green hills as far as the eye could see.
7. Planting over 700 trees along a stream in order to prevent soil erosion and deforestation, and to help maintain the health of the local water ways.
8. Peacock and Boar hunting at Anne’s farm, frightening at some points, but we always had a good laugh in the end.
9. Arriving at the Kotare Trust and receiving a warm and song-filled welcome from the Maori family that would soon become our own.
10. Learning all about the Maori culture and way of life. Really getting to experience it first hand was amazing.
11. Building and eating the Hangi, a perfect way to wrap up and celebrate the amazing week that we had spent there.
12. Arriving back in Auckland for an exciting day of city life and a nice dinner on the town.
13. Saying our goodbyes to the unforgettable country that hosted us for a month and expanded our appreciation of the world more than we ever could have expected.
14. Arriving in Nadi, where our adventures will continue!
We were not able to send pictures right now but will be sending more soon!
