As seems to happen with these beautiful journeys, while we were in the middle of our days together, time seemed to move slowly and fully, and now that we’re at the end, it’s seemed to have whizzed by. Parting each other has been difficult.
The last few days post-trek we spent in historic Bhaktapur, with the exception of a pilgrimage to Namobuddha on the outskirts of Kathmandu. We soaked up the final moments of experiences together, taking time to share perspectives on the challenges and joys of returning home and also sharing our gratitude for all of the amazing people, especially women, who have made this journey possible.
The overwhelming consensus among our group is that of immense gratitude. We are grateful to have been immersed in the beauty of Nepal, to have gotten to know some of its inspiring people, tasted many foods, engaged in many conversations, basked in the beauty of the mountains and reflected on our lives… We are grateful for one another and the dream of this alumni program that came to be…
Sophia, Emma, Tristan, Ava, Sophia, and Brianna– may you each carry the inspiration and insights from this program like a precious seed and eventually find the fertile soil in which to plant 🙂 Thank you for your abundantly loving and caring hearts.
