Greetings earthlings!
Here we are in rainy Portland, just returned from a rambunctious scavenger hunt.
Some things that Tara learned about Anand:
- He’s very playful and masterful in chess and pickleball ♟️ 🟡
- He hails from Pune, India 🇮🇳
- He has a deep understanding of leadership and developing a curriculum around it 🌟
Things Anand learned about Tara:
- Tara would rather be on water than on land 🌊
- She likes skipping and hopping through the streets 🏃🏽♀️
- She loves sailboats!!! And is keen to learn about indigenous practices of making them around the world ⛵
We are excitedly preparing for our journey with a group of eight wonderful students from Portland. Here are some tips and tricks to help everyone prepare for our upcoming adventure:
☀️ India will be hot, but shorts are not traditionally worn on the subcontinent. Bring breathable, light pants that dry quickly.
🍛 Prepare your palate for a delectable smorgasbord of culinary delights. Also, be ready for a GI rollercoaster—sometimes you have to roll with the punches to experience the pleasure.
🧴 Pack your liquid toiletries like shampoo and lotion in a Ziploc or sealed bag to prevent spills and leaks.
We’re so excited to begin this adventure! We hope you’re spending these last few days with loved ones, getting hyped, and soaking in the comfort and familiarity of home.
See y’all at the airport!
Your OEs,
Tara & Anand
