After watching a few safety videos, learning how to put on our gear and communicating under water in a pool, we were finally able to take our skills and head out to scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef! The underwater life there was unforgettably breathtaking, and I’m so glad to have shared it the memories with everyone here who are now all certified scuba divers! After emerging out of the water on our last dive someone said, “guys, we just finished the last activity on our itinerary” and it hit me in that moment how close we’ve become throughout all of our adventures in these past three months that went by in the blink of an eye. It’ll be a very bittersweet moment saying goodbye to my family here to return to my family at home. We miss all of you back in the States and we will see you soon!
