They were picked up from the airport and are now en route to Baracoa. They are looking forward to some rest when they get there and then to diving in to their orientation. From all over the USA, the Cuba students have all made it safely to Miami and are together as a group for the first time! They are checked in to their hotel and are settling in for the night before an early morning tomorrow! Everyone is excited and happy to finally meet one another. After a night of travel, we’ve received word that the QUETZAL crew has arrived in Nicaragua. They were picked up from the airport in a lovely Nicaraguan bus, and just arrived at their hostel in Masaya, where they are sitting down for brunch! They are tired, but happy to be there. They’ve got their bags and are now en route to the city of Quetzaltenango, where they will be doing their orientation for the next 4 days, and then continuing there with Spanish classes and homestays.
