Common Questions for our Adult & Executive Programs

Does this program count towards professional accreditation?

While this program is not formally tied to specific credentialing bodies, it is designed with professional development in mind. Many past participants have used their experience here to support continuing education credits, leadership training hours, or as part of a portfolio for organizational learning. If you require documentation for CEUs or similar, we’re happy to provide participation certificates and a detailed breakdown of learning outcomes.

How will flights work?

For over 20 years we’ve worked with Global Vision Travel – they have great relationships with the airlines, and are adept at building smart itineraries that factor for more than 40 years of experience.  Participants are responsible for paying for their own international flights through Global Vision Travel, and we encourage participants to try and fly together.  Coach, business, and first class fares are all possible depending on each participant’s budget.  We provide detailed guidance on recommended arrival and departure times, airport information, and local transit options. Once you arrive at the designated airport, our team will handle group transportation to and from the program location.

How much time will I have every day for work?

The program is immersive, but we understand many professionals need time to stay connected. Most days include designated windows of 1–2 hours for personal or work time, with reliable internet access. We encourage participants to set expectations with their teams before travel so they can be as present as possible during the core programming.

Will there be internet or cellular reception?

Yes, reliable internet will be available at all accommodations and most program sites. Cellular reception varies depending on the provider and location, but eSIMs and portable Wi-Fi options are readily accessible. We’ll advise you on the best local options prior to arrival.

Who else will be attending?

This program attracts a diverse group of mid- to senior-level professionals across industries, including corporate executives, entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, and creatives. Participants are typically values-driven individuals seeking to ensure their businesses are acting responsibly with respect to people, planet, and profit.  Participants are usually looking to improve their knowledge about climate change, understand the experience of the farmers who provide raw materials for their products, build community amongst peer-business leaders, and grow personally.

Will I be able to opt out of activities?

Yes, while we encourage full participation to get the most out of the experience, we understand individual needs and preferences. You are welcome to sit out activities if you need rest, reflection, or time to attend to other priorities. We ask that you communicate with facilitators in advance when possible.

I don’t speak Thai. What should I expect?

No Thai language skills are required. All programming is conducted in English, and we partner with local interpreters when needed. You’ll also learn some basic Thai phrases during orientation to support cultural engagement and respectful travel.

Why is this program specifically designed for business professionals?

The structure and content are tailored to the needs and mindset of experienced professionals. We integrate strategy, leadership development, and systems thinking with immersive, place-based learning. This approach supports professionals in aligning purpose with action, while gaining tools for regenerative impact in their work and lives.

Who are the staff leading this in the field?

Our field team includes a mix of experienced facilitators, local guides, and subject-matter experts in leadership, systems thinking, and regenerative practices. All staff are trained in group dynamics, equity-informed facilitation, and cross-cultural engagement to ensure a positive and meaningful experience.

What if my schedule doesn’t accommodate the current travel dates?

We understand that timing can be a constraint. If these dates don’t work for you, let us know—some programs are repeated seasonally or can be customized for organizational groups. We’re happy to notify you of future opportunities that align better with your availability.

Can I extend the trip?

Absolutely. Many participants choose to arrive early or stay on after the program concludes. We can recommend local accommodations, excursions, and trusted contacts if you’d like to explore more of the region on your own.

What are the accommodations like? Will I have my own room?

Accommodations are carefully selected for comfort, cultural immersion, and ecological responsibility. You will have your own room unless you request to share with another participant. All lodging meets high standards for cleanliness and amenities, with a mix of boutique hotels, eco-lodges, and community-based stays.

What learning frameworks will be utilized?

We draw from systems thinking, adult transformative learning theory, and the regenerative paradigm. Frameworks such as Theory U, the Living Systems Model, and Deep Ecology guide the design. Sessions are experiential wherever possible, inquiry-driven, and grounded in real-world application, with time for personal and business integration.

Do staff members have medical training?

Yes, at least one team member is certified in Wilderness First Aid or higher. Our local partners also maintain connections to nearby health resources, and all staff are briefed on medical protocols before each program begins. A robust medical kit, along with phone access is held at all times by our staff. We also have 24/7 professional support available remotely, including medical doctors, mental health experts, and risk management professionals.

I have a pre-existing medical condition; what support do I have?

Please disclose any medical needs on your intake forms so we can plan appropriately. In-country medical facilities are available, and we maintain emergency plans for rapid care access.
