Annie and Mike reporting from Auckland, while we are not done with our day, Annie is taking a quick break so I figured we would report on our day so far. We are loving New Zealand already, from the 5th Ave. like Queen Street, to the majesty of the views from Eden Park. While Annie thinks its a bit cold, I am loving non-Fiji weather. We both can’t wait for another amazing day in Auckland and can’t wait for the rest of our exciting adventures throughout this beatuiful country.
Just wanted to say hey from Blair and Connie. First of all we would like to appreciate the warm showers we finally got to take today after a whole three weeks. We traveled around the city (in our flannels) and checked out the various things it has to offer. The entire city is decked out for the Rugby World Cup, and we had the chance to check out the stadium all the games are being played at! With that we had to sprint upstairs, across a bridge, and then back downstairs to catch the train that was just coming through. We ran a bunch of errands and took tons of pictures, including a virtual picture with the All Blacks team! Anyways, we are having tons of fun and have lots of good times ahead of us. Miss and love you all back home.

G’day from below the equator. Jesu (Dylan) and Liz speaking from Queenstreet Backpackers hostel. We’ve been jossling about searching for hidden treasures throughout Auckland. The day was fabulous, we dipped our feet in and got them soaked in the black on black lifestyle as the Rugby World Cup commences. We frolicked the city in search of beautiful architecture and skyscrapers that seemed limitless. The locals were very friendly and warming as they noticed a slighly perplexed facial expressions coming from us as we seemingly seemed lost. But we enjoyed the eight hours we spent scavenging, still living on Fiji time. The land is breathtaking and we can’t wait to see more. Much love to everyone back home. More to come! Over and out- xoxox
Frances, Ozzy, and Hayden checking in!!! We just spent an AMAZING day exploring the beautiful (and suprisingly clean) city of Auckland! We started the day off talking to a really cool local couple that we met in the park, they gave us good advice on some fun things to do in the city. As the day continued, we saw more Rugby advertisements than we count, apparently there is a world cup going on… who knew (hahaha). But the day was great, the weather here is amazing, so different than tropical Fiji. We ended our day of scavenging the city with some delicous hot meat pies. All in all, it was a perfect first day in Fiji. We can’t wait to see more of this fascinating country.
Yup, we did it again! The students are running loose around town and us overseas educators are quite excited watching them soak it all in and learning so much about themselves and where they are. And while they were doing that, we were doing this:
