We have officially left the cloud forest community of Pucara, and are residing in Mompiche, a beach town, before our exodus to Peru. Over the next week or so we will be making blog posts detailing what we did in the “lost weeks”.
In Pucara, we worked with the resident Carpe Contact, Pete, who educated us on sustainable agriculture and reducing our carbon footprint.

Part of what we did with Pete was plant trees in order to offset our footprint. A statistical analysis showed that the round trip flight From LA to Quito could be offset in 20 years by approximately four trees.
But not all of our time in Pucara was work. We had an excellent opportunity to be involved with the local community:
and to just relax after a hard days work:
But eventually we had to say goodbye to Pucara (we did a dance too, but that will be uploaded once I find a cafe with a faster internet connection).
Well, thats all folks! We will check in soon with information on our time in Otavalo!
End Log.
