If you had told me a year ago that on May 6th 2013 I would be sitting at a computer at a hostel in Cusco Peru preparing to return to the US for the first time in three months, I would have undoubtedly told you that you were insane. And yet here I am.
In three months I-ve learned more than I ever could have in a second semester at Gettysburg college. I-ve learned more about the world than any textbook could teach, and I-ve lived in a whole new way.
I-m thankful for all of the people and circumstances that have made this trip possible. I-d especially like to thank my mother and uncle for all of their help and support in getting me here. And of course every member of this group with whom I have traveled many many miles. This journey has been incredible and I can-t say I regret a minute of it.
I will miss Cecelia-s singing,
Brian-s cooking,
Josh-s writing,
Cheridyn-s encouragement,
Ryan-s laugh,
Emily-s bluntness,
Rhiannon-s genuine caring,
Joseph-s alternative language,
Jackie-s humor,
Austin-s art,
and of course Phillip-s singing.
Until next time South America!
Always,
Ella
