Quito Food Tour

On February 12th at 7 pm we left on a tasteful journey through the streets of Quito. At the first stop we made we tasted morochu, some delicous beef, and a fried mashed potato dish. The next stop we made which was right up the street was this place serving fried plantains and different types of tamales. At this stop they served us this delicious fruit smoothie drink and morochu again which is evidently a common local drink. We soon learned that we needed to be careful because sometimes morochu contains alcohol due to the fermentation process. The third stop was there style of fast food where they serve chicken wings and sausages on a stick. The chicken stick had a plantain on top and was absolutely decious. The next stop which was in a completely different neighborhood we went in and sat down to eat empandas, fried dough that is stuffed with cheese and has sugar on top. The final stop of the tour we stopped at a little shop that servely only fried pork, which is a traditional food of Ecuador. My favorite food that I tried throughout the night was the chicken wings on a stick.
