¡Hasta luego, Ecuador!

It´s Megan blogging from Trujillo, Peru! I hope all is well at home and I miss everybody so much. I wanted to give Ecuador a little shout out before I move on to Peru and have worked very hard to upload all these photos. Enjoy!!

Tomorrow is our last day in Quito and Ecuador. I think I am sad to leave Ecuador. I´ve gotten pretty comfortable here and I really don´t know what to expect in Peru. Kelsey said she heard somewhere Peruvians don´t like Americans at all. Really comforting.

A lot has happened these past… 41 days? I have…

  • stayed with two different Ecuadorian host families and both have invited me back
  • spoken some bomb Spanish
  • ziplined on the longest and tallest zipline in South America
  • danced with a shovel in my raincoat and sunglasses (and pretty damn well)
  • dug many holes
  • planted as many trees
  • eaten only organically and vegetarianally for an entire week
  • spent a few hours finding my way through mud
  • taken freezing cold showers
  • not taken freezing cold showers so as to avoid freezing cold water
  • learned to cement by hand
  • carried my fair share of  cinder blocks to last me a lifetime
  • filled many fundas (plastic bags) with dirt
  • and many many more cosas

Check out these pictures, a Greatest Hits of our time in Ecuador 🙂
