The group arrived safe and sound in Arusha, Tanzania and has been thriving during orientation. So far we’ve learned a few Swahili words, seen a giant Red-Crowned Crane walking around the hostel yard, explored Masaai markets, and learned to navigate Dala Dala’s and the streets of Arusha.
Apologies for the delay in the blog post and for any lack of e-mails from students: unfortunately the internet cafes all seem to have been too slow today to load any blog posts or log into most e-mail accounts. We will work on fixing this issue and get the group members posting about their experiences as soon as possible!
Early tomorrow morning our friends and partners at Maasai Wanderings will pick us up for 10 days living and volunteering in a nearby Maasai village, followed by 2 days of safari! So don’t worry if it is a little while before you hear from us again. Every single member of the group so far has been engaged, supportive, and full of excitement — we can’t wait to keep sharing those experiences with our friends and family!
