Hi friends. So while most everyone is out in what seems like the middle of nowhere, I am over here chilling and living the city life in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am constantly surrounded by beautiful architecture, so many people who are constantly stopping to window shop, and the sound of cars rushing down the streets. Let’s just say that the city life has been a major transition from the small town in northern Indiana that I grew up in. Everything from all the different types of people to rush hour traffic (which is insane). The people here though are absolutely amazing, and everyone is so willing to help me find my way back to my home. I have made some high quality friends from school and the street who just want to show me so much of the city.
The past three weeks I have been taking part in Spanish classes at Vos Buenos Aires. They have these cultural activities, and it’s so fun to go to them because the only way you can communicate with others there is Spanish, because it’s the middle language between us. And not to mention the asados they throw are the bomb.com. I have spent a solid 60 hours in two and a half weeks at the school, and I just couldn’t get enough so I decided to continue studying there for the next two weeks.
Starting this week, I am beginning my internship at Hospital de Clinicas, which is a teaching hospital. There I should be working with children, job shadowing different people, and maybe even performing basic tasks that they allow me to do. Honestly though I do not know what to expect, but last semester definitely just taught me to go with the flow and allow thing to happen, because everything will work out alright.
