This week: Free for all!

Calling all alumni! Ready to make every day a #TBT? Post your favorite photos from your Carpe Diem Education semester, and enter to win $50 gift card(s) to your store of choice!

ELIGIBILITY

We love our alums! The 2014 Carpe Diem Education photo contest is open to ALL past Carpe Diem Education alumni.

CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD

The contest will run on a rolling basis from December 29 – February 13, totaling 7 weeks. See schedule below.

The current category accepting submissions is highlighted in orange and white.

Week Start End Category
1 Dec. 29 Jan. 2 PEOPLE (children, homestay families, contacts, strangers, friends, etc).
2 Jan. 5 Jan. 9 Nature (animals, mountains, water, landscapes, hiking trails, etc).
3 Jan. 12 Jan. 16 Carpe T-shirts (any photo where 1+ people are rockin' their CDE shirt).
4 Jan. 19 Jan. 23 Volunteering (photos from your community service projects).
5 Jan. 26 Jan. 30 Spirituality (prayer, yoga, meditating, relics, books, etc).
6 Feb. 2 Feb. 6 Sunrise, sunset (swiftly fly the years…).
7 Feb. 9 Feb. 13 Fruit basket! (any photo you love that doesn't fall into any of our categories).

 

HOW TO ENTER

Upload your favorite photos from your Carpe Diem Education semester to Instagram and hashtag* them #CDEphotos2014. You may submit as many photos as you wish each week, and participate in multiple weeks.

*Please also consider hashtagging the location of the photo and the category tag (i.e. nature, people, etc).

WINNER SELECTION

All eligible entries received during the submission will be gathered into a database at the end of each weekly contest. The Carpe Diem Education Headquarters will choose a winner each week (that’s right, your trusty former Program Directors!). Photos will be judged by:

  • 40% Category relevance
  • 40% Photo quality
  • 20% Number of likes

Winners will be notified via email and reposted on the Carpe Diem Education Instagram account (@carpegapyear).

PRIZES, BABY!

Each winner will receive a $50 electronic gift card via email to the website of his/her choice. Prize is non-transferable. No substitution or cash equivalent of prizes is permitted.

RULES AND REG’S

Incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses which are not specifically listed as part of a prize in these Official Rules and which may be associated with the award, acceptance, receipt and use of all or any portion of the awarded prize are solely the responsibility of the respective prize winner.

By tagging your photos with #CDEphotos2014, you thereby give permission to Carpe Diem Education to copy, reproduce, transmit, create derivative works, post, reuse, display and distribute without limitations in any media now or hereafter known.

All federal, state, and local taxes associated with the receipt or use of any prize is solely the responsibility of the winner.
